FAQ

The Show

Is there a limit of children who can attend the party?

No. As long as I have enough space to perform (see next question), there is no limit.

How much space do you need to perform?

I prefer at least a metre between myself and the children. I do require some space to put a box behind me and my music amp at the side. All the children must be in front of me for the performance.

Do you need to know how many children are attending?

No

What do you do in the one hour show?

This page explains all.

What do you do in the two hour show?

It’s the same as the hour show, but with a break after 45 minutes for food, followed by more magic and games. I’ve made this video to explain the 2-hour show in further detail.

What age is your show suitable for?

3-7’s

Can you make all the children a balloon?

Yes, the cost is £1 per balloon. They will be dogs only. I’m not able to make balloons for toddlers or babies as they are a choking hazard, so if you are expecting many guests in this age range at the party, I would kindly ask you not to opt for this.

Won’t the children get bored sitting still?

No, I’ve structured my show to engage the children from start to finish. The children have never become bored during my show. Check out my reviews, which are a testament to this.

What areas do you cover?

Do I pay for your set up time?

No, I usually arrive around 30 minutes before the party starts to set up, and this is not included in the booking time.

Do I have to provide prizes?

No, I will provide the prizes. They are Ozzy Wizzpop stickers. The children always seem to be thrilled to receive a sticker.

Do you provide the music system?

Yes, this is fully PAT tested (a PAT test is something village halls sometimes ask for).

Does your show contain inuendo or adult jokes?

Absolutely not. My show is 100% clean and family friendly.

Payment

How do I pay the deposit?

You will receive the invoice for the deposit from my online payment system. The payment is processed by Stripe. Alternatively, I also accept bank transfers.

When do I pay the rest of the balance?

Ideally in advance via bank transfer or on the day before the show commences with cash or bank transfer. Whichever works best for you.

Can I pay the entire fee in advance?

Yes, only by bank transfer.

Can I pay the balance on the party day with card?

Yes, please let me know in advance so that I have my card reader with me.

Other Questions

Where are you based?

As of 2025, Northumberland.

Do you do free shows for charity?

Possibly during a weekday, but never on a weekend.

Is there anything else I should know?

Yes, please do not scatter balloons all over the floor before the party. This makes the children incredibly hyper and difficult to settle down for the show. I also need 2 adults present in the same room throughout the performance.

Please, no noise blowers, as the children can get upset by the constant drone of these being blown. It generally annoys everyone at the party, and the party will be a lot happier without them. Trust me—20 minutes of that constant sound whilst the children eat is no fun!

Do you offer bookings longer than 2 hours?

Yes, please call me to discuss.

Shall I put an earlier start time on the invite than your due start time to allow for latecomers?

Please, no! I’d advise putting my start time on the invites and potentially starting 5 minutes later to allow for latecomers (if needed). The majority of parents are usually on time and arrive a little earlier.

If the invite start time is earlier than my start time, the children will arrive at the same time as me, and it can be awkward to load my stuff in, as I have a few big boxes, and the children can be difficult to pass, potentially becoming unsafe for them. Also, it can be tricky to park close to the door (or park at all) with all the other parents arriving at the same time. The children will watch me set up all the tricks, and it can spoil the show. Plus, if they get bored, they can start running, which can be hard work whilst setting up and unsafe for the children.
