What if you don’t turn up?
In the 12 years I’ve been doing this I’ve never missed a show. Even when I’ve been under the weather, I’ve still gone ahead and performed. Being self-employed my reputation means everything so I make every effort to be there no matter what. On the extremely rare chance something serious did happen I know plenty of trusted entertainers in the area. I’ve covered for others before but just to reassure you — I’ve never once needed to be covered myself. It’s hugely important to me that I’m there.
What if the children get bored?
I can give you a cast-iron guarantee that the children will not get bored. I know exactly when the children will laugh when they’ll gasp and when they get excited to the point that they start rushing forward – which is why I actually have to bring a crowd barrier with me.
This is a finely polished routine crafted and perfected over 500 performances with consistent five-star reviews from parents saying how engaged their children were throughout. I’ve written a full article that explains exactly how it all works.
Isn’t two hours too long?
It might sound like a long time at first — but the party isn’t two hours of solid performing. It’s three parts: a 45-minute show to start followed by a 25-minute break for food and then the second half is party games (and balloon modelling if booked). This format keeps them happy and engaged the whole way through. It’s the perfect party format — one that’s been tested and fine-tuned over many years.
My child is shy — what if they don’t want to join in?
If your child is a little shy please don’t worry. There is never any pressure for them to come up to the front and join in. I make sure every child feels included whether they want to take part up front or simply help me with cheering and clapping from where they’re sitting. The show is designed to be magical for every child at their comfort level. I wrote a separate article that explains this in a bit more detail if you’d like to read further.
Will the party get out of control?
Rest assured that’s not how my parties go. The show has a strong theatrical element that keeps the children fully engaged. It’s fast-paced funny and designed to hold their attention from the very first moment.
Think of it like a children’s pantomime — exciting and full of laughs but with a clear sense of direction that keeps everything running smoothly meaning you get a room full of entertained children not chaos.
Will I have to manage the party?
Absolutely not. Once I arrive and the show begins you can relax. I run the whole entertainment from start to finish. Many parents have told me it’s the most relaxed they’ve felt at a children’s party.
Will the music be too loud or overwhelming?
No, I have volume level sufficient enough for children to hear but without being uncomfortably loud. That said it absolutely can be turned down if needed. I’m always happy to adjust it to help any child feel more comfortable.
Am I certified?
Yes – I hold an advanced DBS check so you can be confident that I’m fully vetted to work with children. I also have public liability insurance. In addition all my equipment is PAT tested to ensure it’s safe and reliable. I take safety and professionalism very seriously so you can book with complete confidence.
Will there be inappropriate content?
Let me put your mind at ease — my shows are tailor-made for children. The humour is silly playful and designed to have the children rolling on their backs laughing. You won’t find any innuendo adult content or sly jokes — just pure age-appropriate fun. It’s a safe happy atmosphere from start to finish.
