Entertainment for first birthday parties
First birthday parties can feel flat and awkward without something to bring everyone together. Having a children’s entertainer really lifts the party and I wrote this article to explain why.
- Everyone is entertained, not just the children (it’s a family show).
- Brilliant photo moments as lots of children get to help during the show.
- Parents can relax and socialise while the children are entertained.
- Party games the children love, with a simple format that keeps things moving.
When I arrive at a first birthday party, before I’ve started, the atmosphere is usually very flat. The children are sitting around not really knowing what to do. Most of them are just waiting to be fed, have some cake and that’s expected to be the main event.
Then I start my show and the mood lifts. The children are sitting laughing and joining in with the silly banter and jokes. Everyone feels involved and part of what’s happening. Even something as simple as being looked at or having a line of the show directed towards them makes them feel included. It’s the magic of theatre and live performance that you can never get from digital entertainment.
At all first birthdays I do party games. These are non elimination, so everyone is always involved and having fun the whole time.
To lift the children’s day and see the laughter and joy is what makes these parties so special. Mums and dads are always very happy afterwards. Earlier this year a parent came up to me and explained how I had done their child’s first birthday party three years ago and that they were still grateful for it. Moments like that really stay with you.
If you’re considering a weekend date, it’s worth getting in touch sooner rather than later as these dates do tend to fill up. Complete my booking form and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
